Introducing the distinguished "Puddinghe" Greco di Tufo DOCG 2022, a signature creation from winemaker Claudio Quarta, crafted in the ancient village of San Paolo (Tufo), Campania. This exceptional wine is made from 100% Greco grapes, showcasing a bright straw-yellow color with golden flashes, illuminating its brilliance.

Vinified in stainless steel and refined sur lie for six months with an additional 9% aged in French oak barrels for four months, this wine concludes its maturation with 12 months in the bottle. This subtle touch of French oak enhances its complexity, elevating the "Puddinghe" above previous vintages. On the nose, it unfolds with broad aromas of peach, loquat, cedar, and ginger, enriched with delicate hints of hazelnut, mint, sage, white pepper, vanilla, chalk, and vegetal herbs.

"Puddinghe" Greco di Tufo is perfect for pairing with vegetables, delicate pasta dishes, seafood, white meats, and mildly aged cheeses. It is particularly delightful with paccheri in an artichoke carbonara sauce. This wine embodies the excellence of Greco di Tufo, expressing complexity and freshness with the distinctive enhancement from French oak aging.

Awards:

  • Gambero Rosso 2024: 3 Glasses - "A new label from the estate celebrates the rocky conglomerates typical of the soils in Sanpaolo. Hazelnut nuances lead to smoky and mineral whiffs. The nose suggests a wine that seems to prance in the glass, revealing a tense and vibrant palate, yet rich in flavor and savoriness. It tastes like liquid stone, offering great charm and elegance."

  • FIS Bibenda 2024: 4 Grappoli - "Straw yellow color, the nose immediately reveals its tufaceous mineral character accompanied by delicate floral scents of wisteria and linden. Fresh on the palate with excellent savoriness and good persistence."
